They need to upgrade these henchies, for HM mostly with all these leet enemies the henchies are really just another body to take care of

I really liked the Lashona encounter

Bauer on the other hand was ridiculously hard to try and H/H. The henchmen aren't infused, not to mention proph henchmen in general being terrible. Anyway the jades would blow up Alesia in seconds and then I'm down a healer, followed by the other hench. With all the white mantle using res skills it made it very difficult. For some reason after wiping twice, and only having 15% dp (having removed it with a CC after the first wipe) it kicked me back to the outpost, rather than only doing so after everyone was at 60% DP. I thought that was rather unforgiving. Makes it pretty difficult when all the PuGs advertising to go are all looking just for monks.

Also, having to go through prophecies on a non prophecies character (after having completed Proph 4 times recently) just to get infused so I can do these bounties involving jade is ftl. ><

yeh, because ressilent Jade Armors/Bows and the new Cloaks getting buffed by Bauer and spamming high intensity hardmode damage faster than your heros can blink is a good thing

However, theres fun with Empathy and Diversion to be had.

Ah isn't it nice to find pugs only accepting certain chars. Like the courier run before the update, all I could see was group looking for DWG.

I didn't found Bauer that hard. Killed him using Basic Sabway + Monk + Mesmer henchmen; me using a Prepared Shot build and having 2/5 pieces of infused armor on me. Only buff I used was a mysterious summoning stone and I only got wiped once, when I aggroed 2 groups.

but when you wiped did it kick you back to outpost? That's the part I really didn't like.

When I respawned after biting off more than I could chew, I noticed I respawned mere steps in front of the Gates of Kryta zoning portal. Did you enter Scoundrel's through that? If so, you might've accidentally stepped inside after respawning.

The Jade cloaks were rather nasty, meeting them for the first time without any clue as to their skillbar.

The first time I wiped and respawned each time, it respawned me that few steps ahead of the portal, but no I didn't walk through. The second time I wiped both times I tried H/H'ing it, as soon as the countdown for respawn reached 0 I got a loading screen and was back in Gates of Kryta outpost.

You always respawn right near the portal to Gates of Kryta, but there might be a glitch that spawn you too close because same thing happen to me once today. I was killing Bauer again, this time with some friends, we got wiped and right when the counter reached 0 we got back to gates of kryta and we were like "huh? Who walked in the portal?"

Well, I've managed to do all the bounties so far with little trouble, but I definitely agree that the henchmen are woefully inadequate for these quests. You're almost better off not taking them at all.

Really nice to see the rewards increased a little though, some of them just weren't worth doing for the 3 reward items..

That's too bad because I knew a lot of people who raped that courier run with just heroes. Myself included. You didn't have to join a pug and you sure as hell didn't need DwG to be successful. Not that it matters now.

I didn't need the pug, never joined one because could do it just like you. But this was one of the things that bothered me.

These 2 quests were not that hard in hm for me.

As for Bauer, i got to him via north kryta province, went up the hill, killed one group, then pulled Bauer with a bow and he went down rather easily. It certainly helps to have a rit hero with sos and shadowsong with you.

If you have trouble just kill the peacekeeper mob outside the settlement (there is a dervish boss with them). After they are dead the dialogue should be finished and you can slowly take your time killing the mobs making your way into the settlement until you can kill the ranger boss. Bauer just requires careful pulling of the mobs around him.

I can't help wondering if these new ones are 'regular' bounties, or perhaps quests advancing the WiK plot.

I was right now thinking if posting this in bugs section. I can't manage to kill Bauer cause I can't manage to get him without almost one wipe, and when I should revive it gets me to outpost. Just a millimeter glitch and you're on the wrong side. It's unfair, shouldn't it be corrected? I never seen a similar situation anywhere in the game, and here is trivial.

Instead Lashona was easy and pretty nice dialogue. I like how they're adding dialogues to bounties, so it's no more a kill-only.

I H/H'ed Bauer with spiritway and it was easy, just bring pain inverter for the Cloacks.

Ok, I managed to do Bauer, had a lucky spawn with no jades but cloaks in the first group (cloaks are not so much of a problem, normal jades are for they make you lose henchies) and I managed to kill him before wiping.
The groups vary a lot, and so their disposition, finding an easy enough initial group and other groups far enough from Bauer's one (so to pull them) gives you the time to kill him before being killed yourself (and eventually returned to outpost), if you're not strong enough to kill them all. And luckily he is the first one to follow you when pulling, so this gives and advantage
